[Augusta, ME] — January 23, 2026 — In August 2024, Crisis & Counseling Centers (C&C) discovered concerning financial discrepancies and immediately reported the matter to the Maine State Police, the Office of the Maine Attorney General, and the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). From the outset, our organization has fully cooperated with the state’s investigation into these discrepancies.
This week’s indictment of Timothy D. Floyd, a long-serving Chief Financial Officer and, at the time of his separation, Co-Executive Director of Finance and Administration — on multiple counts of “forgery and felony theft” — affirms the gravity of the actions under investigation. While the legal process will determine the final outcome, we want to be unequivocal: Mr. Floyd’s alleged conduct does not reflect the values, mission, or integrity of Crisis & Counseling Centers or the dedicated staff who served the agency with compassion and professionalism for more than five decades.
