How does this thing work?

The Extranet has two types of documents:

     1) Items that don’t need to be secure. These are located to the right of this message by department.

     2) Look to your left for items that need an additional level of security. If you click the dowload button right now you will find that the folders appear empty. Go ahead. Give it a try!

So how do you access this information? I’m glad you asked! Do you see the login and password fields to the left? Your manager would have given you the login and password. Don’t ask me if you’ve lost it. I’m just a message and can’t help you.

After you supply the user name and password, click on the download folder to see what level permission you were given. Not everyone can see everything – well, except me, but that’s because I’m outside of space and time – so don’t feel too bad.

If you are a manager with permissions to upload documents, when you enter the download area you will see an icon that looks like a page with a star in the upper right-hand corner. Click that and a dialog box will appear which should allow you to upload files into specific folders. Right now files do not overwrite one another and you can't see versions, so if you're doing many examples of one document, it might make sense to name it with a number or date so people know how old it is.
