Animal Wellness Awareness Resource EducationA.W.A.R.E. is a project of Crisis and Counseling Centers’ Community Advisory Committee.
Funding for this program provided in conjunction with Crisis and Counseling Centers in Augusta, Skowhegan and Waterville, Maine. A.W.A.R.E. is about caring for yourself by caring for your pet. What happens during an emergency when you can’t be at home? Plan the care for your pet with someone you trust. Have you ever thought about what happens to your pet in an emergency situation? That answer is easy. Who thinks about "Ziggy" or "Stubby" when we can’t be at home? A.W.A.R.E. wants to suggest things you might keep in mind to prepare for the unexpected. THE PLAN
Step 1 - Arrange for a contact person you trust. Step 2 - Review the following with your contact person:
