Crisis & Counseling Centers is dedicated to providing the best quality services to clients. We believe a large part of that effort is effectively collaborating with other individual providers and community agencies. We invite community providers to communicate and collaborate with us to meet the behavioral health care needs of the people of Kennebec and Somerset counties in Maine and of parents and families throughout the state. How Can Our Services Support What You Do?We would like to highlight some of the ways that we can support your work with individuals in the community, at school, in the workplace or in your practice: Crisis Response Service:Crisis & Counseling Centers is the sole provider of 24 Crisis Response service in Kennebec and Somerset counties in Maine. Trained professionals are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through the statewide toll-free crisis number, 1-888-568-1112, and through our 24-hour walk-in service in Augusta and Skowhegan. Within hours of making a call a crisis worker can be meeting face-to-face with an individual to conduct a mental health assessment and make referrals. In addition to mobile crisis response, we offer Crisis Stabilization Services and Crisis OutReach prevention and aftercare services. Outpatient and IOP:Whether someone is dealing with a low level of depression brought about by recent events, or has chronic, difficult to address, co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, our Outpatient services, including our Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program is a valuable resource. To refer someone for services, you may call - or instruct your client to call - our main office number in Augusta (207) 626-3448 (voice and TTY). Psychiatric Consultation:If you are a medical provider caring for a patient with significant mental health issues, you may appreciate having our psychiatrist, Dr. Benjamin Crocker, evaluate your patient and make treatment and prescription recommendations. Alternatives to Incarceration:Crisis & Counseling Centers participates in two alternative sentencing programs, one for youth, called the Kennebec Valley Juvenile Drug Treatment Court, and one for adults, called the Kennebec County Co-Occurring Disorders Court. Referrals to these programs can made for individuals who have been convicted of a drug or alcohol violation and who are committed to participating in therapy and to not using. GEAR Parent Support Network has Parent Representatives (STET) available by phone, and who coordinate 20 monthly support groups and regular workshops throughout the state.
